# API Terms

> The terms for using the FoodShot Partner API, on top of the FoodShot AI Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

FoodShot AI is operated by Codeline Studios LLC, which provides the API and issues your invoices.

These API Terms add to the FoodShot AI [Terms of Service](https://foodshot.ai/terms) and [Privacy Policy](https://foodshot.ai/privacy), which also govern the applicable law and disputes. Where they differ on the points below, these API Terms apply. You accept them in the dashboard, with one checkbox, when live access is turned on.

## Keys and account security

* Use API keys only from your servers, and keep them out of apps, web pages, URLs and logs. You are responsible for all use of your keys.
* If a key may have leaked, revoke it in the dashboard and tell us. We may revoke a key that we find exposed.
* Dashboard access is by invitation. Tell us when someone at your company should lose access.

## Credits and invoices

* 1 credit = 1 finished image (any style, ratio, 2K or 4K); failed jobs are free; prepaid; added within 1 business day of payment.
* Prices and plan sizes are agreed with you in writing, and Codeline Studios LLC invoices them. See [Credits](https://docs.foodshot.ai/policies/credits).

## Acceptable use

* Use the API for food photos on your platform: your vendors' listings, menus and marketing. You and your vendors may use the results commercially.
* Don't resell or share API access, don't use results to train image models, and don't send photos that you have no right to use.
* Don't try to get around the limits or the content checks.
* Review each result before it is published: listings must show the dish truthfully.

## Availability and service credits

We commit to 99% monthly availability for creating generations and reading their status. If we fall short, you get service credits, which are the only remedy for missed availability. See [SLA and support](https://docs.foodshot.ai/policies/sla).

## Data

We keep and delete your data as [Data and privacy](https://docs.foodshot.ai/policies/data-privacy) describes, including how long each kind of data is kept.

## Versioning

The API changes as [Versioning](https://docs.foodshot.ai/policies/versioning) describes: changes within v1 are additive, and a version is retired only with at least 90 days' notice.

## Changes to these terms

We email your technical contact at least 30 days before a new version of these API Terms takes effect, unless the law requires a change sooner.
